This is a snow day gift from Sophie, her first snow angel of the year!
One of the nice parts of staying in education is definitely the snow day. Today our area is looking at about 3-4 inches of snow, which in this neck of the woods is plenty enough to cancel school. I have lots of friends up and down the East Coast, and this morning my Facebook status updates were a string of euphoric dispatches from winter wonderlands, from Georgia to Massachusetts. If you’re in that area, I hope you’r ehaving a wonderful snow day!

My kids had their first snow day in three years today–usually, we just have delayed openings, because we are a walking-only district. It’s great to have the day–if only I didn’t have a job where I spend 90% of my life on the phone, it would be better!
we had a snow day today! (first in the three years I’ve been teaching) My facebook status page was also full of rejoicing!
I ended up spending a fair amount of time on the computer with student assignments and emails, but work done in my pajamas is always better than work done out in the real world!
Rejoicing for everyone! Tomorrow we’ll all have to trundle forth again, back into the trenches.
I love any day that introduces a little out-of-the-ordinary magic into the day…!
