I wavered about whether to say anything, but sometimes in those discussions, I'm the only teacher, so I feel like teachers should have a voice too. I'm a pretty privileged teacher because I teach in an independent school, but still, my sympathies often lie with the teacher, even though I am also a parent of children in a public school.
